Chicago Mega-Picture Post
Friday, August 11th, 2006Well, we’ve just come back from Chicago. We were there for my grandfather’s 80th birthday party.
Since we had a day free before the party, we decided to take the Kitten downtown to see the city where Daddy was born. That morning, as we got ready at 6am for our downtown day, we realized we forgot our stroller at home … 4 states away. Have you ever tried to carry a baby from the Shedd Aquarium to the Hancock tower? No? Let me save you the trouble of wondering what the experience will be like.
Tiring. More tiring. Eventually moving into full-blown “shoot-me-now-my-feet-are-bleeding.” I wasn’t even the one who her carried most of the time (Pussycat did) and I was ready to throw myself off the Michigan street bridge.
The only bright spot was that we had decided to take the train in and out of the city which eliminated the need to chop off an arm to pay for parking at the Monroe street garage. Anyway, here are the pictures!
The Shedd Aquarium - where the blisters began.
This one time, at band camp, I saw a sailing ship …
No, I insist … my head is bigger than yours.
No, Kitten you may not dive into the river.
Hmmmm, Kitten-bait.
80 years old and the man can still cut a rug.

Well … somebody has to dance with Daddy.

“As I rode away on the Cairo Express, I knew I would always love Jean-Luc. Why Jean-Luc? Why?”
So much walking. So much fish. So much dancing. Soooo tired.
Well, that’s it! I’ll be in Pakistan for a while, so I’ll be posting infrequently and the Pic-o-Day Page won’t be updated everyday, but I’ll do the best I can until I get back near the end of the month!
